The leader of Village Boys Movement in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Amb. Charles Nwonye (Eziokwuatuegwu 1 of Igboland) has said the movement is devoted to delivering Mr Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2027 General Elections.
He reaffirmed this on Monday, June 1, 2026 in his residence at Uruagu, Nnewi while interacting with some Journalists.
Nwonye said the movement as a Pressure Group would ensure that PO is well delivered because according to him the movement stands for good governance.
He disclosed they are planning One Million March for PO across the country and would establish Student wing to make sure they give the NDC Presidential Flagbearer, Mr Peter Obi their maximum support by beating APC and other political parties hands down.
“We are not talking about political party, we believe in personality. Peter Obi has all it takes to achieve a New Nigeria” he said.
As a stakeholder in NDC, Nwonye said they believe totally in PO, revealing that great number of people are joining the party on daily basis just to support Mr Peter Obi.
He appealed to those that contested the just concluded NDC primaries to accept the results in good fate when released and collectively join hands in ensuring PO’s victory in 2027 General Elections.
He further called on the general public who desire good governance to get their PVC ready to vote the present government out, because according to him APC has failed Nigerians.
“We are happy that PO got the flag of NDC. Anambra State will get 99.9% votes for him irrespective of who is governoring. Everybody knows that there’s nothing like APC in Anambra State. We are all out to ensure PO’s victory in 2027 General Elections” Leader, Village Boys Movement, Nnewi North reiterated.
