The identities of the Nigerian Army commander, three officers, and 12 soldiers who tragically lost their lives in an attack in Okuama community, Delta State, have been disclosed.
The Defence Headquarters unveiled their photos and names via its official social media account on Monday.
The fallen soldiers, who were serving with the 181 Amphibious Battalion, were deployed on a peacekeeping mission to address community clashes in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State when the unfortunate incident took place.

It will be encouraging if the military leaves the innocent villages out of all this and go for the exact perpetuators of this.
A departure from their primitive reprisal ways of wanton obliteration of defenseless villages will be welcomed reasonable act.
One can’t help but wonder why they only apply that destructive measure in the south and middle belt.
When bandits and Boko haram annihilate them in northern villages in some cases with active connivance of the villagers,nobody hears or sees these kinds of responses.
Finally,the composition of the list of fallen compatriots is a true reflection of the ‘federal character’ in the military.To whom much is given plenty is expected !!
Regardless we mourn the losses and condole with the families of the departed Nigerians on both sides.
