The State Government says it will distribute over two billion naira commercial Agricultural loan to registered farmers to guarantee food sufficiency in the state.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Nnamdi Onukwuba disclosed this
while defending the 2021 budget estimate of the Ministry before the House Committee on Agriculture at the Legislative Complex in Awka.

Mr. Onukwuba explained that the project is designed to encourage the youths to go into Agriculture as well as encourage Ugbo Azuno.
The Commissioner disclosed that in 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture will rely more on Public Private Partnership to restore the glory of Anambra State in Ugbo Ogbommanu by supporting every house hold to plant a palm tree in every available space, stressing that the ministry will sustain its achievements in rice production, livestock among others to achieve a realistic budget.
Mr. Onukwuba who regretted that flood has been a challenge confronting the sector, assured that they will do aggregation and storage on high Lands to safeguard farm Lands from flooding.

John Nwokoye commended the giant strides of the Obiano administration in Agriculture and charged the Ministry of Agriculture to do the needful to ensure full implementation of the 2021 budget, which is
