Change of guard at BOTCON: Chief Emeka Nzewi succeeds H.E. Dame Virgy Etiaba, whose tenure as the most part, the chairman ended

Her Excellency Dame Virgy Etiaba CON ‘Ezinne Nnewi’ ended her tenure this afternoon at the OFALA 2020 meeting of BOTCON at the Royal Palace of Igwe Orizu.

Dame Etiaba’s successful four year tenure saw the profile of BOTCON raised tremendously in her years at the helm of affairs of BOTCON.

The election to produce her successor witnessed the emergence of Chief Chukwuemeka Nzewi ‘Eziokwubundu Nnewi’, as the new Chairman of The Body of Titled Chiefs of Nnewi (BOTCON).

Chief Ben Etiaba FCA, ‘Ifennia Nnewi’ was elected the Vice Chairman of the Body of Titled Chiefs of Nnewi, while Chief Oseloka OSIGWE Esq ‘Dikenammuta Nnewi’ became the Bodies new Secretary.

BOTCON will admit new members tomorrow when His Royal Highness Igwe KON Orizu CON confers Chieftaincy titles on Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, a frontline Presidential candidate in Nigeria, Chief Dozie Mbanefo, a foremost advertising guru in Nigeria, Dr Theo Okeke a downstream oil expert, Chief George Moghalu, Managing Director of Nigeria Inland Waterways Agency, and Rt. Hon. Chris Azubogu, a third term member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives.

All five new Chiefs are indigenes of the Ancient town of Nnewi in Anambra State Nigeria.
