Adukwulu’s led Otolo Nnewi EXCO gives way to Muodielo’s EXCO

The government of Otolo Nnewi Quarter, led by Hon Amobi Adukwulu officially came to an end when Arch Paul Chukwuebuka Ileka PhD, a member of Otolo BOT, moved fir Adukwulu’s led government to vacate the table for the newly elected officers to take over.

Prior to stepping down, Hon Adukwulu once more reiterated that it is the turn of Umuenem to produce the next member to represent Nnewi North constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly.

It shall be recalled that the chairman of Nnofor reported to Otolo Nnewi quarter that they have formally told the aspirants for the House of Assembly, who are members of Nnofor to immediately desist from any activity regarding such.

Arch Ileka moderated the presentation of the new officers to the general house, after which he invited the Obi Umuenem, Chief Afam Obiekosi, to perform the swearing in ceremony. The new officers are listed below:

Obi Umuenem exhorted the incoming officers to always serve with dignity and transparency and that they must be absolutely loyal to HRH Igwe Nnewi at all times. Chief Obiekosi also urged them to always accord respect to the Isi Obis of Otolo and to always be accountable with the finances of the community. He then administered the Oath of Office to them.

Hon Anthony Muodielo, who became the new President General of Otolo Nnewi Quarter, spoke passionately about the determination of administration to always live above board. He urged the people to cooperate and direct them if they should be seen as veering off course.

Following the appeal for cooperation by the new government, various personalities pledged on behalf of the people to support their administration.

The only awkward moment in the whole process was when the out gone President said that he was making an oral hand over of Otolo assets. He was called to order that such tasks must be done in writing, at least, to enable the auditors be able to authenticate his account.

Hon Adukwulu agreed, but argued that it was a partial handover, granted that what he said was not coherent to authentic several years of service to Otolo. The incoming administration should as a matter of priority set up an audit committee to ensure a smooth accounting system for the Otolo people, some of the people argued.

The new President invited the secretary to the Local Government, Hon Emeka Okafor, to say the closing prayer.
