Anambra 2021: Christian group backs Ozigbo

By Ifeoma Ejiofor

The Peoples Democratic Party standard bearer in the November 6 Anambra State governorship election, Mr Valentine Ozigbo Wednesday received the blessings of a powerful Christian movement.

The group, Masterseed Solidarity Movement, an inter-denominational mass movement of dedicated believers, threw its weight behind Ozigbo when they hosted him at their New Covenant of God Cathedral headquarters in Uruagu, Nnewi.

While addressing the large audience of Christian faithful, Ozigbo spoke of his strong Christian background and how it helped shaped his character.

“I am the son of a headmaster and catechist, and this foundation taught me discipline, sacrifice, and the fear of God,” Ozigbo said.

“I look forward to seeing the church play a vital role both in liberating Anambra State and in forming a partnership that will build, edify, and enrich Ndi Anambra.

“Professionally, I have been privileged to have experience in business, economic development, hospitality, entertainment, sports, oil and gas, agribusiness, international relations and other relevant fields that will ensure the rapid growth of our dear state.

“This project has God’s blessing, and the PDP is on course for victory. Our message is genuine, and our intentions are altruistic.

“Ndi Anambra will feel the impact of having a god-fearing leader at the helm of affairs,” Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, emphasized.

In his remarks, the founder of Masterseed Solidarity Movement, His Royal Eminence, Archbishop Prof Emma David Okaforagu said the group is looking forward to contributing its quota to enthrone the leadership of godly men in public offices.

“Masterseed Solidarity Movement is usually apolitical, but we have decided to be active participants in determining who leads our people this time around.

“We have thousands of followers, and we are ready to play our part to make sure that Anambra takes its rightful place in the country,” Archbishop Okaforagu stated.

The group gave Ozigbo their blessings, while praying for his success at the polls.
