It was a huge harvest of decampees for the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the party inaugurated her Eziowelle Ward Campaign Committee in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.

The decampees eighty from Young Progressives Party (YPP) and sixty from Labour Party (LP) collapsed their structures in their respective political parties and joined APGA.
In his welcome address, the Eziowelle APGA Ward Chairman, Hon Willie Nzekwesi pointed out that Gov Charles Soludo’s outstanding performance in the last three years has been a stimulant for the growth of the party in the area.

He thanked the leadership of the party in Idemili North LGA for their unflinching support for him in his bid to move APGA forward in Eziowelle Ward.
Hon Nzekwesi said that with the entrance of opposition members to APGA in his ward, the party is ready to post a five star performance in the November 8 governorship election.
In his comment, the APGA Chairman in Idemili North LGA, Chief Lemmy Ekwo commended the leadership and members of the party in Eziowelle.
He assured them that their efforts toward a massive victory for Gov Charles Soludo in the November 8 polls will not go unnoticed.
Chief Ekwo also assured the decampees from YPP and LP that they would be effectively incorporated into APGA even as he urged them to feel at home.
The Mayor of Idemili North LGA, Hon Stanley Nkwoka urged them to work hand in hand with Eziowelle Ward Chairman, Hon Willie Nzekwesi.
He pointed out that APGA is a family where no one is left behind in the scheme of things.
The Chairman, Idemili North Campaign Council, Chief Obi Idemobi also stressed the need for the old APGA members in the Eziowelle Ward to give enabling environment to the decampees who according to him have become members of the family.
“Politics is a game of number, anyone who has the capacity and capability to deliver should not be discriminated against on the ground of being a new member.
“The door of APGA is opened to all and sundry who are ready to abide by the rules and constitution of the party, Eziowelle Ward must deliver 99 percent on November 8, because they have the men and means to get it done,” he said.
Some party faithful who spoke with journalists said that Gov Soludo has done remarkably well in the first term and deserves a second tenure.
Fifty seven prominent persons in Eziowelle Ward made the campaign committee list among whom are; Barr Titus Akpudo(Ichaka) Chief Dr Chukwugozie Boniface Nzekwesi and Hon Mrs Victoria Obagwaru.
