A youth-based group in Anambra North Senatorial Zone, The Anambra North Youths for Obiogbolu, has called on members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) across the 99 wards of the zone to unite in support of Dr. Alex Obiogbolu and line up behind him during the party’s forthcoming primary elections.
In a statement issued by the group and signed by its leader, Comrade Nonso Obiekwe, the youths described the primaries as a critical moment for the future of Anambra North, urging party faithful to make a decisive and collective choice that reflects competence, integrity, and a clear vision for progress.
The group emphasized that the adoption of the Option A4 voting model by the party presents a transparent and credible opportunity for members to demonstrate their support openly. According to the statement, the system where delegates physically queue behind their preferred aspirant, ensures that every vote is visible and accurately counted, thereby reinforcing trust in the process.
Comrade Obiekwe noted that Dr. Obiogbolu remains the most suitable person to represent the zone in the Senate, citing his experience, leadership capacity, and commitment to people-oriented service. He described the aspirant as a unifying figure capable of bringing together diverse interests within Anambra North for the common good.
“We call on all APGA members in the 99 wards to come out en masse, stand firm, and queue behind Dr. Alex Obiogbolu on the day of the primaries. This is the time to let our voices be heard and our choices clearly expressed. Obiogbolu stood firmly with APGA. Now is the time to stand with him,” the statement read.
The group further emphasized that supporting Obiogbolu would demonstrate a collective commitment to advancing transparency, accountability, and sustainable development in the zone.
Reaffirming their commitment to the aspiration, the Anambra North Youths for Obiogbolu urged stakeholders, delegates, and party loyalists to embrace unity and rally behind a single agenda aimed at securing a prosperous future for the people of the zone.
