Anambra poll: Defected Anambra deputy gov assures APC of victory

The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Nkem Okeke, has assured his new party, the All Progressive Congress, of victory in the coming Anambra gubernatorial election.

Okeke made this known on Tuesday when he received a caucus of the APC led by a member of the State House of Assembly representing Njikoka 1 Constituency, Timothy Ifediora.

He said, “APC will win the Anambra election because it is not the usual APC that they knew.

“A party that has eight House of Assembly members, six House of Representatives members, one senator and a Deputy Governor can not be said to be a child’s play.

The Deputy Governor added that Senator Andy Uba, who is the flag bearer for the APC in the November 6 election, is loved by the people of Anambra, hence, his victory is assured.

“We also have a candidate like Andy Uba who is overwhelmingly loved. We are sure of victory,” he added.

The eight-member caucus stated that they came to pay a solidarity visit to the Deputy Governor and to assure him that his choice of the party was right.
