..Pledges Support, Employment Opportunities, and Women & Youth Empowerment

The Member representing Idemili South Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Barr. Ebuka Igwe (Ugosinachi Idemili), has felicitated with the women of Akwuukwu during their 2026 August Women’s General Meeting.
Barr. Igwe, who attended the meeting held at Akwuukwu Women’s Town Hall, Akwuukwu, described women as the foundation of every home and society. He commended Akwuukwu women for their unity, hard work, and commitment to sustaining cultural values and proper child upbringing.
Addressing the women, the lawmaker and All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA party candidate reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of women and youths in Idemili South Constituency.


“I am proud to identify with Akwuukwu women today. You are the engine room of our homes. My office is committed to supporting you through empowerment programs, skills acquisition, and creating employment opportunities for our women and youths. We will ensure that government dividends get to the grassroots,” Barr. Igwe stated.
He further pledged to partner with women groups and community leaders to attract more developmental projects and initiatives that will directly benefit families in Idemili South.
In her response, the President of Akwuukwu Improvement Union AIU Women Wing, Mrs Sussana Ezeh thanked Barr. Igwe for honoring the invitation and for his promise to prioritize women and youth empowerment. She assured him of the women’s continued support and prayers for his legislative duties.
The 2026 August Meeting featured prayers for peace in the community, deliberations on family values, and cultural displays.
