Chieloka Henry Okoye and Sonny Ozobialu scaled the first hurdle to represent Nnewi South Constituency one and two, respectively, at the Anambra Legislative House

Hon Okoye and Sonny Ozobialu defeated several contestants who vied for the opportunity to represent Nnewi South at the Anàambra State House of Assembly Awka under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Hon Henry Okoye had served at the Council level where he had acquitted himself as a grassroots politician to reckon with.

Hon Okoye defeated powerful opponents at the primaries election under (APGA) for the right to contest against other political parties to represent the Constituency II of the Nnewi South Local Government.

Hon Ozobialu equally succeeded in overcoming the challenges posed by his adversaries for the right to represent Constituency one of the Nnewi South LGA.

Vision Newspapers asked one of the key stakeholders in Anambra politics, particularly in Nnewi South LGA, Hon Egwuoyibo Okoye, for his comments regarding the two successful candidates.

Hon Egwuoyibo, first of all, congratulated every participant who made an effort to represent the people of the local government area.

“This is what democracy is all about. It is honorable to contest and lose to a better candidate”. The effort by each of the contestants is a learning process. There is always an opportunity to come back in the future to try again.”

“For now, I believe strongly that the two winners of the APGA primary will defeat whomever the other parties will feature during in the next election,” Egwuoyibo concluded.
