Five feared killed in Obiano’s community


Tension has heightened in two communities following the alleged killing of five persons in Governor Willie Obiano’s Aguleri community of Anambra east local government area

The incident, The Nation learnt, occurred on Saturday night.

Also, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) alleged two of its members were missing while many cows have been killed in Umudioka community in Idemili North local government area.

But Anambra Police Public Relation’s Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, debunked the alleged killings, stating instead that gunmen kidnapped five persons.

He told The Nation two of the kidnapped persons had been rescued while manhunt had continued to rescue the remaining three.

On the Umudioka saga as alleged by MACBAN, Tochukwu, said he was still making contacts.

Chairman of the Cattle Breeders in the Southeast, Alhaji Gidado Sidiki, said two of their herders were missing while many of their cows had been killed.
