The Young Progressives Party (YPP) House of Representatives candidate for the Ihiala federal constituency, Barr Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam, has appealed to his people not to despair over the wanton abandonment they have been subjected to for long.
The Anambra-based lawyer made this appeal during an interactive session with selected critical stakeholders in Mbosi in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.
He stated that there was no need to controvert the fact that Ndi Ihiala had been abandoned by those who were supposed to be their voices and ears. The development, according to him, was responsible for the present state Ihiala local government area now finds itself.
Barr Maduakolam, a UK-trained lawyer, however, assured his constituents that with him as their representative in the green chamber of the National Assembly, the business would no longer be as usual.
He pledged to give his constituents a five-star representation in the National Assembly, which he said would end the days of gloom in Ihiala.
“Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong in Ihiala federal constituency. Insecurity has become the new normal here, and our youths have been abandoned to their fate. Our cherished homeland has become a shadow of herself, yet, the duty-bearers carry on as if all is well, leading to unprecedented gloom among the people.
“By the grace of God, we are determined to end the hopelessness our people have been subjected to, over the years, this we are going to achieve with our novel CLEAN project. I encourage our people not despair again because hope is here.” Barr Maduakolam stressed.
However, the YPP House of Representatives candidate for the Ihiala federal constituency urged his people to join him in the revolution to reclaim Ihiala local government area by voting for him during the National Assembly election.
“We can no longer carry on as if it doesn’t matter who represents us in Abuja, we should be interested because a whole lot of things depend on it. We must get it right this time around by allowing a round peg to be in a round hole. We have been alleviating the suffering of our people using personal resources, we are going to pursue this on a large scale when we get to Abuja. This is my commitment to Ihiala and Ihiala people.” He assured.
