NDLEA declares ex-beauty queen wanted for dealing in illicit drugs


The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared Ms. Aderinoye Queen Christmas, also known as Ms. Queen Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, wanted after she allegedly evaded arrest during a raid on her residence in Lekki, Lagos.

Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media & Advocacy at NDLEA Headquarters in Abuja, revealed that operatives conducted a search at Ms. Aderinoye’s residence in Oral Estate, Lekki, based on credible intelligence suggesting her involvement in illicit substance trafficking.

During the operation, NDLEA officials reportedly seized 606 grams of Canadian Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis, along with an electronic weighing scale, drug packaging materials, and a black RAV 4 SUV bearing license plate Lagos KSF 872 GQ.

Furthermore, NDLEA operatives made significant arrests in connection with international drug trafficking activities. Sunday Michael Owoborode, aged 52, and Valentine Anene were apprehended in Edu Orita, Ogun state, where Anene was allegedly preparing to travel to Qatar with narcotics.

The operatives confiscated 1.8kg of cannabis, an electronic weighing scale, and other illicit substances from the suspects.

In a separate operation in Lagos, NDLEA operatives arrested Sunday Adediran, 50, after discovering 20kg of cannabis sativa in his residence in Mushin Olosha.

The NDLEA has intensified its War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign nationwide, conducting advocacy lectures in various schools and communities across Nigeria.

These efforts include sensitization lectures delivered to students and teachers in Adamawa, Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, Katsina, and Anambra states.

Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, commended the officers and men across various NDLEA commands for their exceptional performance in combating drug trafficking and intensifying WADA advocacy programs.

He highlighted the crucial role of both drug supply reduction and drug demand reduction activities in the agency’s mission.

The NDLEA urges anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ms. Aderinoye Queen Christmas to come forward and assist in her apprehension, emphasizing the agency’s unwavering commitment to combating drug abuse and trafficking in Nigeria.
