Obi–Kwankwaso Movement Raises Alarm Over Alleged Plot To Destabilise NDC In Enugu

The group said the alleged activities were aimed at creating division among party members at a time when attention should be focused on strengthening the party and preparing for the 2027 elections.

The movement specifically accused unnamed individuals of impersonating party officials and issuing directives without authorisation. It urged members and supporters to take instructions only from recognised party leaders and official communication channels.

The OK Movement said the alleged attempts to create division were particularly concerning because Enugu remains a strong support base for Peter Obi, adding that members should resist actions capable of weakening the party’s structure in the state.

The OK Movement said the alleged attempts to create division were particularly concerning because Enugu remains a strong support base for Peter Obi, adding that members should resist actions capable of weakening the party’s structure in the state.

It urged those involved to allow the party’s internal mechanisms and legal processes to address disputes, while calling on political actors to respect constitutional democracy and the rule of law.

The group also cautioned against involving young Nigerians in political conflicts, saying personal ambitions should not be allowed to undermine the broader objective of building a credible political alternative ahead of 2027.

The movement called on NDC members and Obi–Kwankwaso supporters to remain calm, united and vigilant, urging them to verify political information before acting on unauthorised announcements. It reaffirmed its commitment to promoting accountability, good governance and what it described as a people-centred government under the “New Nigeria project.”
