The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed shock over the death of the second republic senator, Distinguished Senator Onyeabor Obi (Ose Oji Nnewi)
In a press statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Anambra State, Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu, the party said that the exit of the late sage has created a vacuum in Nigeria in general and in Igboland in particular.
Mr Nwangwu recalled that Sen. Onyeabor Obi was a member of G18 that later transformed to G24, the group that formed the Peoples Democratic Party.
Sen Obi until his death was also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The Publicity Secretary of PDP said that the PDP family in the state would surely miss the fatherly advise of the late senator who is reputed for putting service above self.
The PDP while condoling with the family of Sen. Onyeabor Obi prayed God to grant the BoT member eternal rest and also prayed that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
