By Ezeakukwu Emmanuel Nsoedo

The adage that the ‘golden fish has no hiding place’ comes to mind when one weighs the impact of the recent recognition of Prof Ugboaja by a reputable organization such as TimeAfrica magazine. It beholds the transcendental pedestals where his talent has placed him. In effect, Prof Ugboaja was picked because of his uncommon touch when it comes to the exercise of leadership acumen and outstanding measurable indexes when it comes to structural and human development recorded at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) within the short time of superintending as the Chief Medical Director (CMD).

TimeAfrica noted that they are objective and meticulous in identifying individuals who meet the stringent criteria the awardee must meet.

With that in mind, TimeAfrica expresses thus: “The annual WHO’SWHO IN AFRICA entries are lens through which dynamic Africans are identified, their achievements celebrated and influence on Africa hollowed. African leaders whose policies and works have transformative impacts on the Continent; who exemplify the core values of successful leaders in strength, innovation, ingenuity, knowledge and foresight are unveiled and endowed.”

In awarding Professor Ugboaja the prestigious award, TimeAfrica wrote, “Accordingly, after verifying testaments of your achievements in the area of human capital development, proficiency in administrative matters, tenacity of purpose, public spiritedness and insightful leadership, and other views/polls sought by Bureau Editors, you are found eminently worthy for the 2023 WHO’SWHO IN AFRICA”.

The event will be held on November 15, 2023, at the Abuja Continental Hotel (Sheraton Hotel and Tower) Abuja FCT.
