The Chief Medical Director of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi NAUTH Prof Joe Ugboaja was honoured with a chieftancy title of ‘Ife Chukwunyere’ by the Monarch of the Ancient Kingdom of Omogho, HRH Igwe Sir Raphael Offor, Ide II of Omogho.
Omogho is a thriving agrarian community in Orumba North LGA specializing in rice farming.
The event took place during his 2023 Ofala festival that held in his palace on Sunday, 31st December 2023.
While conferring this traditional title on the CMD, the Igwe of Omogho extolled him for his patriotism and dedication towards improving healthcare delivery in Anambra State. HRH continued ‘you are a great son of Orumba North who has made us proud by your achievements at NAUTH Nnewi and other annexes.
Through your leadership qualities, you engineered the giant feat of moving the NAUTH to the permanent site, when had seemed like an insurmountable odd”
