A strong contingent of ECOWAS delegates and federal ministry officials, along with the chairman and chief Executive Officer of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), Chief Dr Innocent Chukwuma (Okpuzu Ndigbo) paid a visit to His Excellency, Professor Chukwuma Soludo. The visit was designed to formally inform Mr Governor that the Innoson truck production plant is ready for commissioning.
Earlier, the delegation from the ECOWAS Commission visited the new Innoson Vehicle plant at Umuezena Umudim Nnewi. The plant is designated for various models of truck production.
The new plant has an installation for compressed natural gas (CNG) line which is an integral component of what would fuel the vehicles. Innoson vehicles are well adapted to environmental friendliness, hence, the huge investment in clean air technology.
The ECOWAS delegation endorsed Innoson vehicles for the regional integration promotion for industrialization and supply chains. Several of the West African countries have already keyed in to work with the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing.
Chief Innoson Chukwuma expressed his gratitude to the governor for supporting technological innovations in Anambra state. He pledged to continue making Anambra state shine with pride through production of quality vehicles.
The governor expressed gratitude for the visit from the ECOWAS Commission and the federal trade officials. Professor Soludo hailed Innoson as one of the pillars of Anambra development. He also noted that the government will do its part to support Innoson in its endeavor to move the state forward.
