The Vision Bearer of Alaigbo Sunrise Crusade, Apostle Ofodile Ikenna Nzimiro, has thrown more light on why Nnewi was chosen as the springboard for the Alaigbo Sunrise Crusade.
Speaking with Multiple Awards Winning Journalist, Don Peter Okoro at his Hotel Suite in Nnewi this morning, Ofodile, who is also the Presiding Apostle of the East Mandate Global Ministry, explained thus: “East Mandate Global is the name of the Ministry and under it is the Alaigbo Sunrise Prayer Crusade, which is a God-Commanded Crusade. And it is centred around reconciling Alaigbo as a geographical location to God and at the same time reconciling Alaigbo and her sons and daughters back to God.
This can only take place through what the Bible calls “Redeeming The Land And Covenanting The Land”. When you do that, what it does is that it brings God’s attention back to the land and it brings changes. Of course, we know that life is more spiritual than natural. And the spirit that a land yields determines their mannerism.
“So, God sent us to reconcile the land and redeem them so that the land and the people can be realigned to the original purpose of God.” On why Nnewi specifically, he answered: “Again, the peculiar thing about us as Watchmen is that most of what we do outside discipleship are what God commands. My answer is that we are in Nnewi because God commanded that we come to Nnewi. And we came with a Vision and an Understanding.
One of the things that God spoke to me about Nnewi is that Nnewi is like a first son. Nnewi is carrying the covenant of a first born. And you know that when it is well with the first born, it will be well with the whole family. So, we are here in Nnewi to address Nnewi as a people, but beyond Nnewi, to address Igboland and very importantly, to address Nigeria as a Nation where the Igbos must be given their dues and rights.
And there is no place best suited for us to speak over matters like these than Nnewi. As we all know, one of the men who bore the brunt to see that Igbos are given their dues and rights in the nation that God has called Nigeria, is Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, who is from Nnewi. The Lord sent us to come and address many issues here. Issues that have lingered for years. Issues that have affected Nigeria as a Nation and very complicated issues. And by God’s grace, we will take them bit by bits.
