A yet to be identified gunmen on Friday attached a court duty vehicle of the Nigerian Correctional Service NoCS conveying inmates from court in Anambra State killing two officers and setting free the inmates.
The midday incident according to Spokesman of the service, Francis Enobore was said to have occurred while the vehicle was returning the inmates from court to Aguata Custodial Centre.
Enobore said the hoodlums who trailed the vehicle to the court rained a volley of bullets on the court duty vehicle for about ten minutes, killing the officers before freeing the inmates, whom they whisked away in their own vehicle.
