The Nnewi Solution Team has called on the leadership of the community to prioritise fairness, equity and justice for the betterment of their community.
Speaking at the monthly meeting held on Sunday, July 5, the Convener, Chief Gabriel Chukwuma (Gabros) reaffirmed the team’s stand on the 1997 Nnewi Rotational Agreement, stating that Nnewichi should be given what is rightfully theirs.
According to him, “though the people of the Nnewichi they are fighting for are gradually compromising, he warned , ” If you collect money to betray your community, it is your children that will suffer it”.




On demolition of shops, the Convener disclosed that he has met the Governor on the plight of the owners of the marked shops for demolition which the Governor agreed to reconsider.
During the engagement, Chief Bennett Ngonadi thanked the committee for fighting for the people of Nnewichi.
He disclosed that Nnewichi is no more part of Nzukora Nnewi since the suspension of the Secretary General that made Obi Nnewichi to say that he was also suspended.



“Suspending the Secretary General of Nzukora Nnewi, who is from Nnewichi means suspending me – Obi Nnewichi, Obi Onyekaba” he quoted.
Prince Nnoso Obi on the same vein expressed his joy that the people of Nnewichi have awakened and encouraged the team to stand firm in their quest for a better Nnewi.
Others who spoke at the meeting, Chief Eugene Nwizugbe Anyanwuigbo niile, Member Representing Nnewi North in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Augustine Ike Ikedoji, Prof. Obi Nwosu, Chief Ezeakukwu Emma Nsoedo, Chief James Okoye( Akachaam), Igweamaka Orajiuba (Obejilinasaa), Mr. Chukwudi Onwudiwe among others said they stand in the decision of the people of Nnewi, adding that Nzukora Nnewi had lost its seat the day they disrespected Igwe’s decision.
They described Chief Chukwuma as a problem solver, reaffirming that they stand where Igwe stand, adding that 1997 Nnewi Rotational Agreement must be kept.
