Police detectives in Awka have arrested twenty one year old Augustine
Obimeze of Ofianta Village Nsugbe in Anambra East Local Government
Area but resides at Ejeagwu Estate Awka for raping under aged boys.
According to a statement signed by the State Police Public Relations
Officer SP Haruna Mohammed, the suspect allegedly had carnal
knowledge against the order of nature with two small boys of five and
seventy years on different occasions.
The statement said the suspect has equally made a voluntary
confessional statement to the police and blamed his act on peer group
influence.
It added that Police detectives have visited the scene of the crime
while the two victims were taken to the hospital for medical
examination.
The statement said the Commissioner of Police CP John Abang has
ordered for immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal
investigation Department for discreet investigation after which
suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution
