ANAMBRA State Government has commended the Catholic Church for their compliance to precautionary measures outlined to fight spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
Gov. Willie Obiano made the commendation at Ekwulobia during installation of Most Rev. Peter Okpaleke as first Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese.

Obiano observed that people he saw on his way to Ekwulobia had yet to start wearing the face masks as directed by Government.
“The virus is real and I urge you, the Church leaders to help to sustain a campaign for this safety measure to be adopted.

The governor expressed happiness at being a part of the epoch-making event noting that there was still a lot of work to be done over the novel diocese.
